Heashield CoolPro PU- Polyurethane Roof Coating

HEATSHIELD® COOLPRO-PU is a high-performance, polyurethane-based cool roof coating designed for both metal and concrete surfaces. Engineered using premium-quality polyurethane resins, reinforcing laminar pigments, and non-migrating fire retardants, this coating offers exceptional durability, weatherproofing, ultraviolet resistance, and protection against algae, mildew, and fire.
 
When applied to roofing substrates, HEATSHIELD® COOLPRO-PU reflects a high percentage of sunlight, significantly reducing roof surface temperatures—especially during peak afternoon heat. This helps in lowering interior temperatures and prolonging the lifespan of the roof.
The coating forms a highly reflective, thermally insulating, and permanently flexible waterproofing membrane, which remains impervious to mass water penetration. Its unique polyurethane formulation ensures long-term resistance to dirt pick-up and excellent adhesion across a wide range of roofing substrates.

Insulation Technology
Unlike conventional mass insulation that merely delays heat transfer, HEATSHIELD® COOLPRO-PU prevents heat from forming on the roof surface in the first place. Its insulation efficiency stems from the combination of extremely low thermal conductance (0.05 W/m·K), high solar reflectance, and high emittance. The endothermic cooling process further enhances insulation by continuing to cool the surface, even if the reflectance reduces over time due to aging, dust accumulation, or darker topcoats.
 
Leak Protection
HEATSHIELD® COOLPRO-PU also acts as a sealing agent. When applied directly, it can stop minor leaks and seal small holes on the substrate surface, eliminating the need for additional sealing materials in many cases.
 
Dirt Pickup Resistance
Dirt accumulation on roof coatings can cause them to darken over time, reducing their reflectivity and increasing heat absorption. HEATSHIELD® COOLPRO-PU resists dirt pick-up, maintaining its bright, reflective surface and ensuring sustained energy savings and comfort.
